[ this is growing up. ] on 2002-11-04 @ 2:23 a.m.

i am heading off to bed with a sense of accomplishment. set aside time today to organize, re-assess, and evaluate my current station in life and my relationships.

some people have good hearts with loving arms and ears ready to hear you bad days and prospects on life. listening and responding with their prospective on the situation in discussion. this is a good and a bad thing, depending on your current mood. sometimes, it can be taken at harsh criticism.

some really could care less how your day went and ask only as a conversation starter. but those people try, so they get half credit. plus they many times are the people that will let you vent for hours on end without issue or response. this is a good and a bad thing. response in the form of understanding and well, just sheer love can brighten the current mood.

then there are the selfish people which care about today, where they are, how they will get what they need, and what is needed to support themselves. once again, good and bad.
good because they are trying to be self-sufficient. to me this is a deplorable act of self indulgence.

'this is what i need, screw everyone else my shit is more important'

self absorbed you amy friends around now, but slowly they will drop like flies in an autumn heat. one by one they will discover your dastardly motives.
hopefully, you can recover from this state of disarray, if not best of luck with yourself. i'll wait for the hard copy story of how you fell so hard.

maybe portrayed as an angel, scholar, talented athlete, whatever the case may be, this will not be enough for me to recognize you as nearly human.

an amoeba, underdeveloped waiting for change. too bad it won't come until you decide to make a change.

these are my thoughts on human nature, these may be broad generalizations and stereotypes, but these are the main character types that stand out to me. as for soul value anyway.

these apply to me as well as you the reader. take them to heart and gather courage to face the truth. we've all got to grow up sometime.
