[ another afternoon laughing ] on 03.30.03 @ 7:14 am

spent an afternoon laughing along the shorelines of stomping grounds, somehow unearthed a new continent where nothing mattered as long as it was you and me. summer's skyline taunting to spring just jump in. we rolled around down the sand streams, each grain finding a new home between the gaps in our clothing. you've got silver lined the skies of seattle, but somewhere in orange county i dream your face among the scattered clouds. steal this photograph of you, slipped between pages of a book noone's ever seen. present the girl that makes me miss walking in the rain of stormy nights through a northwest college town. in the eye of my lense is where you are but also between my ears. voice replaying the depths of my mind for days with nothing more to gain but understanding of this distance i've created. echoes of our day like billie holiday would sing and the stuff sinatra dreamed of. please stop me before i say too much, before i'm too sappy. cuz' now i'm dripping through cracks in back porch. the one we shared so many nights on the phone. hold this photograph of you near my love and hope someday the two becaome on in the same. just trying to let you know, i want the best for us both even though we're apart, but only by miles. dance together out of step, stumble to fall onto salted beaches not like it matters anyway. we'll spend another afternoon laughing.
